Dagon

Dagon

Ancient even by cursed-spirit standards, Dagon wears a human body the way most curses wear a name - loosely, and only until it’s inconvenient. Its Disaster Tides fuel a Domain Expansion cheap enough to use as an opener rather than a finisher, which makes it one of the most reliably dangerous special grades to fight head-on.

Traits

Cursed Manifestation. Only creatures that can sense cursed energy can perceive or harm Dagon. It is exorcised when reduced to 0 hit points.

Reinforcement. While it has cursed energy remaining, Dagon adds +4 to its AC, saving throws, and damage rolls.

Water Defensive Ring (8 Cursed Energy). As a reaction to damage, Dagon surrounds itself with a ring of water, halving the triggering damage and granting itself immunity to cold and resistance to bludgeoning, slashing, and piercing damage until the start of its next turn.

Actions

Multiattack. Dagon makes two Claw attacks and uses Tides of Disaster.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d8 + 6) slashing damage.

Tides of Disaster (1 Cursed Energy). Ranged Spell Attack: +9 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (4d8) cold damage.

Flash Flood (8 Cursed Energy). Dagon condenses water into a point within 30 feet. Each creature in a 10-foot radius there makes a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw, taking 44 (8d10) cold damage on a failure, or half as much on a success. If the space is enclosed, it fills with 10 feet of water.

Domain Expansion: Horizon of the Captivating Skandha (Recharge 5-6, or free twice per day). Dagon expands a calm, sure-hit domain in a 60-foot radius for 1 minute (see Domain Expansion in Intricacies of Sorcery). While it is open, Dagon can summon sea shikigami as an action to fight alongside it, and its Tides of Disaster and Flash Flood no longer require a roll or save to hit.
