Voracity

特技 Feats for this technique → Voracity

You get stronger by eating.

Cursed Energy
Starting at 1st level, you can harness your negative feelings into a usable source of energy, called cursed energy. These feelings can be harnessed into attacks or abilities. The number of cursed energy you possess is based on your class, some classes use a modifier that being charisma or wisdom (Player’s choice)

Your cursed energy DC is 8 + user cursed energy ability modifier + proficiency bonus.

Hunger of the Accursed
Starting at 1st level, you are constantly filled with the constant hunger impulses that come with your technique. When you reduce a cursed spirit, shikigami, or cursed corpse to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to spend 3 cursed energy to devour its corpse. For 1 hour you gain a feature, action, movement, resistance, immunity, sense, AC, Ability Score or other statistic from the dead creature’s statblock such as Cursed Energy Affinity (Cannot take legendary actions, Cursed Energy or Domains). You can spend an additional 3 cursed energy to steal an additional ability and can steal a number of abilities from a single corpse up to your Cursed Energy modifier.

When you steal an ability that does not suit your body (such as fly speed), your body changes to fit the ability (eg. growing wings). For the duration, you count as the creature type your stolen abilities come from. If you have stolen abilities from multiple creatures, you count as the one you have the most abilities from. You can have a number of stolen abilities equal to your Cursed Energy modifier at once.

At 6th level, you can have stolen abilities from a number of creatures equal to your Cursed Energy modifier active at once and they last for 24 hours. You cannot use different innate techniques at once.

Regurgitation
At 3rd level, you have learned to access previous abilities you have eaten. As a bonus action you can spend 4 cursed energy to gain an ability you have stolen in the past and can use it for 1 hour. This does not increase at 6th level.

Digestion
At 6th level, your stomach calls for satiation and gives you the means to feed it. The amount of cursed energy required for Hunger of the Accursed and Regurgitation decreases by 1 (minimum cost of 1) and again at 11th level.

Additionally, you have learned to use cursed energy to enhance the abilities of the devoured. You can use one of the following benefits once per turn when you use a stolen ability:

Efficiency. When you use an ability with a base cursed energy cost, the cost of the feature decreases by 1 (minimum cost of 1).

Output. When you use an ability that lets you spend up to a certain amount of cursed energy, you can increase that amount by your cursed energy modifier.

Speed. When using stolen movement, you can spend up to your cursed energy modifier to increase it by 5 ft per cursed energy spent.

Reinforcement. When using stolen AC and are hit by an attack roll, you can spend 1 CE to add your proficiency bonus to your AC against that attack roll, potentially causing it to miss.

Instinct. When using a feature, you can spend 1 cursed energy to decrease its action cost by one (Full-Turn Action > Action > Bonus Action > Reaction).

Maximum: Body of the Devourer
At 11th level you have learned to draw the power of the devoured from your stomach and into your flesh. As an action you can transform into one of the creatures you have devoured, spending cursed energy equal to twice the Devoured’s CR (min of 1) or Level. Your statistics are replaced by the statblock of the chosen Devoured, but you retain your alignment, personality, mental scores, Cursed Energy and Hit Points.

You gain temporary hit points equal to the Hit Points of the Devoured. These Temporary Hit Points vanish if any remain when the technique ends. The technique ends early if you have no Temporary Hit Points from this technique left.g

You are limited in the actions it can perform by the anatomy of your new form and can only use your cursed techniques if your new form is capable of forming hand signs and chanting. This form lasts for a number of minutes equal to your level + your cursed energy modifier.

Domain Expansion: Tomb of the Devoured
At 18th level you have mastered your technique allowing you to expand your domain. At initiative 20, you can regurgitate a creature whose corpse you devoured into an unoccupied space within 5 ft of you. The creature is friendly to you and your allies and acts immediately after your turn, attacking all enemies within your domain whether you command it to or not. If the creature was sentient in life, it is barely sentient within your domain as a mere husk of its former self. All regurgitated creatures disappear once your domain ends.

Indigestion
As an action, you can spend 6 cursed energy to force all creatures of your choice within 30 ft to make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, their movement speed is halved for 1 minute and they waste their action vomiting or dry heaving after being overcome by nausea and burning stomach pain. A creature can repeat this save at the end of their turn, ending the effect on themselves on a success.
