You were born with one of the praised techniques of the Zenin Clan, turning animation into reality.
Cursed Energy
Starting at 1st level, you can harness your negative feelings into a usable source of energy called cursed energy. These feelings can be harnessed into attacks or abilities. The amount of cursed energy you possess is based on your class. Some classes use either Charisma or Wisdom as the modifier, at the player’s choice.
Your Cursed Energy DC is 8 + your Cursed Energy modifier + your proficiency bonus.
Projection
Beginning at 1st level, you learn the projection technique, which gives you the possibility to divide 1 second into 24 frames, allowing you to move faster. As a bonus action for 1 Cursed Energy, your walking speed increases by 10 feet, and you gain an additional attack on your Attack action. However, this cursed technique is not perfect. Before you move while this technique is active, you choose the path or destination for that movement; once you start moving, you cannot change course. You must spend 1 Cursed Energy at the beginning of each of your turns to keep this cursed technique active.
Acceleration
Starting at 3rd level, for each consecutive turn you have Projection active, your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
In addition, if you move at least 10 feet in a straight line toward a creature on your turn and hit it with a melee attack on the same turn, the attack deals extra bludgeoning damage equal to 1d6 for every 10 feet you moved in that straight line, to a maximum number of d6 equal to your proficiency bonus. You can deal this extra damage only once on each of your turns.
24 Frame Rule
Once you reach 6th level, you have learned how to affect creatures with the 24 FPS rule, making them become stuck in one frame of animation. While your cursed technique is active, when you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you may choose to deal no damage by spending 3 Cursed Energy, forcing the creature that received the hit to make an Intelligence saving throw. On a failure, it will be stuck in one frame of animation, making it stunned until the beginning of your next turn. On a success, nothing happens. The creature loses its stunned condition early if it is hit by an attack roll, which automatically counts as a critical hit and treats immunity as resistance and resistance as normal for that attack’s damage.
Fastest Sorcerer Alive
At 11th level, due to your advanced studies, you can now reach a higher speed level than any sorcerer ever could. While your cursed technique is active, you will gain the following benefits:
- You will gain +30 feet to your walking speed.
- You will gain +20 feet to your walking speed at the beginning of your turns.
- You will gain advantage on Dexterity saving throws.
- Your Dexterity score increases by +2, and so does your maximum.
Domain Expansion: Lunar Palace Womb of Time
Finally, at 18th level, you reach the pinnacle of Projection Sorcery. All creatures in your domain take 8d10 necrotic damage when they move or take any type of action, as their cells don’t move at the 24 fps rule.
