Cursed Circuitry

特技 Feats for this technique → Cursed Circuitry

You can apply a circuit that allows for extremely efficient use of cursed energy.

Cursed Energy
Starting at 1st level, you can harness your negative feelings into a usable source of energy, called cursed energy. These feelings can be harnessed into attacks or abilities. The number of cursed energy you possess is based on your class, some classes use a modifier that being charisma or wisdom (Player’s choice)

Your cursed energy DC is 8 + user cursed energy ability modifier + proficiency bonus.

Circuit
Starting at 1st level, as a bonus action for 2 Cursed Energy, you can apply a Circuit to yourself or an object you touch as a bonus action for 2 CE. You can also apply your Circuit to another willing creature you touch for 5 CE. Your cursed circuit gives the following:

Efficiency. The base cost of a feature that requires cursed energy other than Cursed Circuitry features decreases by 1 (min cost of 1). If a feature’s effects depend on how much cursed energy you spend, one cursed energy you spend gives the effects of two. (Eg. Spending 2 CE on Cursed Strike counts as 4 CE). This cannot cause the cursed energy to be higher than your output limit.

Output. When a feature allows you to spend additional cursed energy to strengthen the effects, you can spend additional cursed energy up to half to your proficiency bonus (rounded up).

Enhancement. If you apply your circuit onto an Object or Cursed Tool, it instead gains one of the following benefits of your choice:

  • The item deals an additional 2d4 necrotic damage on a hit.
  • The item grants a +2 bonus to AC
  • The cursed energy cost of the tool decreases by 1 (min of 1)

You can only have 1 circuit at a time. This becomes 2 circuits at 3rd level, 3 circuits at 6th, and 4 at 11th level.

Pure Energy Efficiency
At 3rd level, your technique has further increased in efficient functions. A creature under the effects of your Circuit, only lose 4 cursed energy for every 5 CE spent at once (Eg. target uses Hollow Purple for 10 CE, they cast it and only lose 8 CE).

High Performance Circuit
Starting at 6th level, you can now apply a high performing Circuit to yourself or an object you touch as a bonus action for 2 CE or a willing creature you touch for 5 CE. Your circuit now last for 1 hour.

Improved Efficiency. The base cost of a feature that requires cursed energy other than your Cursed Circuitry features decreases by 3 (min cost of 1). If a feature’s effects depend on how much cursed energy you spend, one cursed energy you spend counts as three cursed energy (Eg. Spending 2 CE on Cursed Strike counts as 6 CE). This cannot cause the cursed energy spent to be higher than your output limit.

Increased Output. When a feature allows you to spend additional cursed energy to strengthen the effects, you can spend additional cursed energy up to your proficiency bonus.

Enhancement. If you apply your circuit onto an Object or Cursed Tool, it instead gains two of the following benefits of your choice:

  • The item deals an additional 2d6 necrotic damage on a hit. Increases to 2d10 at 11th level.
  • The item grants a +3 bonus to AC. Increases to +5 at 11th level.
  • The cursed energy cost of the tool decreases by 2 (min of 1). Instead decreases cost by 4 at 11th level.

Circuit Breaker
At 11th level, your Circuit now lasts for 8 hours or until you end it as a bonus action. Once per turn when one of your circuits ends, your next unarmed strike or attack with the item that held the circuit deals an additional 5d10 necrotic damage on a hit.

Domain Expansion: Deus ex Machina
At 18th level, you have mastered your technique allowing you to expand your domain. Within your domain, you are always under the effect of your Circuit. At initiative 20, creatures of your choice within your domain take necrotic damage equal to their current cursed energy as your domain saps their cursed energy into the circuit.

Reversal

反転 How to gain this: Cursed Technique Reversal →

Because you have mastered Reverse Cursed Technique, you have gained your technique reversal. Instead of optimizing cursed energy usage, you can cripple a creature’s ability to optimize. As an action for 10 CE, you can target a creature within 5 ft. The target must make a CE saving throw. On a failure, the target takes your CE modifier in necrotic damage for every cursed energy they use for 1 hour as their attempts to utilize cursed energy destroys their bodies.
